The principle of stamping processing:
Stamping is a metal stamping manufacturing process, mainly through the press and die to metal sheet, strip, pipe and profiles and other external forces, so that it produces plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required shape and size of the workpiece (stamping parts) forming processing method.
The main advantages of the metal stamping process include:
1. Low cost: Due to the relatively low cost of the mold used in the stamping process, its cost is low in mass production.
2. High efficiency: By applying external force to the metal through the press and mold, the plastic deformation or separation can be quickly completed, improving the production efficiency.
3. Good surface quality: Because the stamping process is carried out at room temperature, avoiding defects such as pores and shrinkage holes generated in the high temperature and casting process, the surface quality of the workpiece is better.
However, the stamping process also has some disadvantages:
1. High mold cost: For some special shaped parts, high-precision and high-cost molds need to be made, which increases the production cost.
2. Limited applicable materials: stamping process is mainly suitable for metal sheet, strip, pipe and profiles, etc. For some special materials such as stainless steel, titanium alloy, etc., its processing is more difficult.
3. High production batch requirements: Because the stamping process requires mass production to reduce costs, it is not suitable for the needs of small batch production.
In general, the stamping process is an efficient and low-cost metal forming process that is widely used in many industries.
